The A7075 aluminum main shaft design reduces weight while still delivering rock solid performance.
The one-piece bail is a seamless design that reduces friction on the bail, allowing unobstructed line entry into the roller.
The Obisidian offers extra versatility and is supplied with a spare Aluminium spool with 2 reducers (it can be reduced to 8000 or 1500).
In previous designs, the up-and-down movement of the main shaft created friction where it contacted the inside of the pinion gear, which made the handle feel slightly resistant during rotation. Flite Drive Technology reduces this friction by hollowing out the center of the pinion gear, allowing the shaft to move more freely. This makes the reel turn more smoothly and with less effort, while keeping the gear’s strength unchanged.
